Remodels & Additions
New walls and ceilings that tie into your existing house without a visible seam.
When you're adding a room, converting a garage, or opening up a floor plan, the drywall work has to tie new construction into decades-old walls without a visible seam. That means matching texture, matching finish level, and matching how the original walls were built up, not just hanging new sheets and hoping it blends.
We hang, tape, and finish new walls and ceilings to Level 4 or Level 5 depending on the sheen and lighting in the room, then match texture across the transition line so the addition reads as part of the original house, not an obvious patch job.
Most remodel and addition jobs also involve coordinating around framing, electrical, and insulation crews already on site. We work the schedule so drywall doesn't become the bottleneck.

Remodels & Additions FAQ
Can you match texture from a house built in the 1970s or 80s?
In most cases, yes, orange peel, knockdown, and skip trowel textures can all be matched by hand once we see the existing wall. We'll flag it up front if a section is a genuinely hard match, like hand-troweled plaster.
Do you handle the whole addition or just drywall?
Drywall is our scope on this page, but Fort Comfort Drywall is a division of Fort Comfort Services. If the job also needs insulation, gutters, or windows, we can coordinate that through one point of contact.
What finish level do I need?
Level 4 is standard for most walls under normal lighting and a flat paint sheen. Level 5 is worth the extra cost for smooth or semi-gloss paint, strong raking light from skylights or big windows, or any wall you'll be looking at up close.
